Uzumaki

A single geometric form — the spiral — progressively infects an isolated town, manifesting in bodies, architecture, social behavior, and eventually the very shape of the urban plan. Ito constructs a purely visual contagion: no origin or explanation is needed, the form self-propagates as a pattern transmitted through the gaze of whoever observes it. A direct parallel to the Black Barn in Gideon Falls, but rooted in Japanese folklore rather than American weird fiction.
