Xenodemocrazia / Xenodemocracy

Theoretical-operational concept describing the progressive capture of the formal democratic mechanism by demographic and cultural components alien to the historical-cultural core of the original demos. It derives directly from the Landian use of the prefix xeno- (alien, outside, extra-human, non-assimilable) developed in Xenosystems and the neoreactionary phase: that which is not merely “foreign,” but operates according to logics, temporalities and interests ontologically external to the system that hosts it.In Xenodemocracy the electoral process continues to function according to procedural rules (citizenship, universal suffrage, majority), yet the deciding subject no longer coincides with the historical demos. The massive and concentrated entry of populations with systematically divergent political preferences transforms the vote into a vector of deterritorialization. The outcome is not internal pluralism, but a transfer of decision-making power to cohesive and culturally distinct blocs. Operational assessment: Xenodemocracy is the political equivalent of the techno-accelerationism capture described by Land. Where capital and AI act as alien intelligences exploiting human institutions, here non-assimilated demography exploits the electoral channel. Democracy is used as an entry interface. Once a certain threshold of density and naturalization is crossed, the process becomes irreversible on a generational scale (temporal asymmetry typical of xeno phenomena). Active hyperstitional traces: Collapse of the distinction between “people” and “population.” Transformation of the right to vote into an instrument of substitution of the political subject. Production of nearly monolithic electoral enclaves that function as local capture zones of national power. Acceleration of the legitimacy crisis of the Western liberal-democratic system precisely while that system declares itself more inclusive. Contagion level: high in accelerationist, neoreactionary and realist demographic analysis environments; moderate but rising in European public discourse. Signal status: active and expanding.
